1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how KETSHE collects, uses, and protects information when you use the KETSHE mobile app or website (the "Service"). In this Policy, "KETSHE" refers to the application and website; "we", "us", "KATRO TECHNOLOGIES", or "the Company" refers to KATRO TECHNOLOGIES SARL (Democratic Republic of the Congo), for users in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and KATRO TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED (United Republic of Tanzania), for users in the United Republic of Tanzania — together, the entities that develop and operate KETSHE. For users located in any other country, KATRO TECHNOLOGIES SARL applies by default.

KETSHE is a community-driven traffic and road-safety app, designed for use in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and for use in the United Republic of Tanzania.

You can use most of KETSHE — including live traffic conditions, navigation, and security alerts — without creating an account. Some information is still collected in that case, as explained below.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Location and movement data: GPS coordinates, heading, and speed while the app is in use, used to detect traffic conditions and match you to the road you are on.
• Device information: device identifier, operating system and version, and (if you choose) a vehicle type.
• Account information (only if you register): mobile number, a 6-digit PIN (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text), your first name, and preferred language.
• Community reports: the type, location, and time of any traffic or safety issue you report (e.g. accident, flood, police control, blocked road, risk of theft or violence).
• Photos and other user-submitted content: photographs or other content you choose to submit with a community report, used as visual evidence of the reported incident and to help keep the map up to date.
• Push notification token: if you enable notifications, so we can deliver security and commute alerts.
• Optional Home & Work locations and work schedule: only if you choose to set them, used solely to power commute-delay alerts.
• Payment information: if you purchase a paid additional service, we process the information necessary for that transaction, via our payment provider.
• Technical and diagnostic logs: by default, the app sends technical usage logs to KATRO TECHNOLOGIES for support and product-improvement purposes. You can turn this off in Settings > Logs.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to: show you live, community-sourced traffic conditions; provide turn-by-turn navigation; verify and surface community-reported road issues; send security alerts for danger zones near your route; send commute-delay alerts if you have set up Home & Work; process payment for any paid additional service you purchase; provide technical support and improve the Service (including through diagnostic logs, unless you disable this); produce aggregated statistics to improve the Service; and maintain the security and reliability of the Service (for example, detecting abuse of our systems).

4. How Location Data Is Shared With the Community

KETSHE's core feature is community-sourced traffic information. Your individual location is aggregated with other drivers' data to compute road speeds and conditions — other users never see your individual location, route, or identity. Community-reported issues (e.g. "accident reported near you") are shown to nearby users without revealing who submitted the report.

Please note that if you submit a photograph or other content with a report, that content itself may be visible to other users as part of the report.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With infrastructure and hosting providers who process data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
• With KATRO TECHNOLOGIES for technical support and product improvement (see Section 2). As KATRO TECHNOLOGIES is the entity that develops and operates KETSHE, this is an internal use of data rather than a disclosure to a third party; you can disable it in Settings > Logs.
• With our payment provider, if you purchase a paid service, solely to process that transaction.
• With third parties who access KETSHE map, routing, or geocoding data through our API, limited to the data necessary to provide that service (see our Terms and Conditions, Section 8).
• In aggregated or anonymized form, where it cannot reasonably be used to identify you (for example, published traffic statistics).
• If required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of KETSHE, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

• Raw location reports are retained for a short period (currently 24 hours), purely to compute road conditions, then deleted.
• Aggregated, non-identifying traffic conditions are retained longer (currently up to 32 days) to keep the map useful.
• Some data linked to your device identifier may be retained beyond 32 days — in some cases for more than 12 months — for statistical purposes and to improve the Service. Because a device identifier is retained, this data is not fully anonymized. You may request its deletion at any time (see Section 7).
• If you have a registered account, your account information is retained until you delete your account or request deletion.
• Community reports, including any photographs submitted with them, are retained for the period needed to keep other drivers informed (typically a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the type of report), after which they expire automatically; copies may be retained longer for statistical or product-improvement purposes, as described above.
• Technical and diagnostic logs sent to KATRO TECHNOLOGIES are retained for support and product-improvement purposes; you can stop this collection at any time in Settings > Logs.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can, at any time:

• Turn off location logging in the app's settings (this will limit features that depend on your location).
• Turn off technical and diagnostic log sharing with KATRO TECHNOLOGIES in Settings > Logs.
• Choose not to register an account, and use KETSHE's core features anonymously.
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about your registered account.
• Request correction of inaccurate account information.
• Request deletion of data retained beyond 32 days for statistical purposes, as described in Section 6.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.

8. Children's Privacy

KETSHE is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections between the app and our servers, and one-way cryptographic hashing (never plain-text storage) of your PIN. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to keep your PIN confidential.

10. International Data Transfers

KETSHE's servers are operated for use in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the United Republic of Tanzania. Depending on your country of residence, your information is processed in accordance with the law of the Democratic Republic of the Congo or the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act, 2022. If you access the Service from another country, your information will still be transferred to and processed in this region.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.

• Signalements communautaires : le type, le lieu et l'heure de tout problème de circulation ou de sécurité que vous signalez (par exemple accident, inondation, contrôle policier, route bloquée, risque de vol ou de violence).
• Photos et autre contenu soumis par l'utilisateur : photographies ou autre contenu que vous choisissez de soumettre avec un signalement communautaire, utilisés comme preuve visuelle de l'incident signalé et pour contribuer à la mise à jour de la carte.
• Jeton de notification push : si vous activez les notifications, afin que nous puissions vous transmettre des alertes de sécurité et de trajet.
• Lieux Domicile & Travail et horaires de travail (facultatif) : uniquement si vous choisissez de les définir, utilisés uniquement pour activer les alertes de trajet.
• Informations de paiement : si vous achetez un service payant additionnel, nous traitons les informations nécessaires à cette transaction, via notre prestataire de paiement.
• Journaux techniques et de diagnostic : par défaut, l'application envoie des journaux techniques d'utilisation à KATRO TECHNOLOGIES à des fins de support et d'amélioration du produit. Vous pouvez désactiver cet envoi dans Paramètres > Journaux.

3. Comment Nous Utilisons les Informations

Nous utilisons les informations ci-dessus pour : vous montrer les conditions de circulation en temps réel issues de la communauté ; fournir une navigation guidée ; vérifier et afficher les problèmes signalés par la communauté ; envoyer des alertes de sécurité pour les zones à risque proches de votre itinéraire ; envoyer des alertes de trajet si vous avez configuré Domicile & Travail ; traiter le paiement de tout service payant additionnel que vous achetez ; fournir un support technique et améliorer le Service (y compris via les journaux de diagnostic, sauf si vous les désactivez) ; produire des statistiques agrégées pour améliorer le Service ; et assurer la sécurité et la fiabilité du Service (par exemple, détecter les abus de nos systèmes).

4. Comment les Données de Localisation sont Partagées avec la Communauté

La fonctionnalité principale de KETSHE repose sur l'information de circulation issue de la communauté. 5. Partage et Divulgation des Données

Nous ne vendons pas vos informations personnelles. Nous partageons des informations uniquement dans les circonstances limitées suivantes :

• Avec des prestataires d'infrastructure et d'hébergement qui traitent les données pour notre compte, sous obligation de confidentialité.
• Avec KATRO TECHNOLOGIES, pour le support technique et l'amélioration du produit (voir Section 2). KATRO TECHNOLOGIES étant l'entité qui développe et exploite KETSHE, il s'agit d'un usage interne des données plutôt que d'une divulgation à un tiers ; vous pouvez le désactiver dans Paramètres > Journaux.
• Avec notre prestataire de paiement, si vous achetez un service payant, uniquement pour traiter cette transaction.

6. Conservation des Données

• Les signalements de localisation bruts sont conservés pendant une courte période (actuellement 24 heures), uniquement pour calculer les conditions de circulation, puis supprimés.
• Les données de circulation agrégées et non identifiantes sont conservées plus longtemps (actuellement jusqu'à 32 jours) afin de maintenir l'utilité de la carte.
• Certaines données associées à l'identifiant de votre appareil peuvent être conservées au-delà de 32 jours — dans certains cas plus de 12 mois — à des fins statistiques et d'amélioration du Service. L'identifiant d'appareil étant conservé, ces données ne sont pas totalement anonymisées. Vous pouvez en demander la suppression à tout moment (voir Section 7).
• Si vous disposez d'un compte enregistré, les informations de votre compte sont conservées jusqu'à ce que vous supprimiez votre compte ou en fassiez la demande.
• Les signalements communautaires, y compris toute photographie soumise avec eux, sont conservés le temps nécessaire pour informer les autres conducteurs (généralement de quelques minutes à quelques heures, selon le type de signalement), après quoi ils expirent automatiquement ; des copies peuvent être conservées plus longtemps à des fins statistiques ou d'amélioration du produit, comme indiqué ci-dessus.
• Les journaux techniques et de diagnostic envoyés à KATRO TECHNOLOGIES sont conservés à des fins de support et d'amélioration du produit ; vous pouvez arrêter cette collecte à tout moment dans Paramètres > Journaux.

7. Vos Droits et Choix

Vous pouvez, à tout moment :

• Désactiver la journalisation de localisation dans les paramètres de l'application (cela limitera les fonctionnalités dépendant de votre position).
• Désactiver le partage des journaux techniques et de diagnostic avec KATRO TECHNOLOGIES dans Paramètres > Journaux.
• Choisir de ne pas créer de compte, et utiliser les fonctionnalités de base de KETSHE de manière anonyme.
• Demander une copie des données personnelles que nous détenons concernant votre compte enregistré.
• Demander la correction d'informations de compte inexactes.
• Demander la suppression des données conservées au-delà de 32 jours à des fins statistiques, telles que décrites à la Section 6.
• Demander la suppression de votre compte et des données personnelles associées.

8. Confidentialité des Enfants

KETSHE ne s'adresse pas aux enfants de moins de 16 ans, et nous ne collectons pas sciemment d'informations personnelles auprès d'enfants n'ayant pas atteint cet âge. 10. Transferts Internationaux de Données

Les serveurs de KETSHE sont exploités pour un usage en République Démocratique du Congo et en République-Unie de Tanzanie. Selon votre pays de résidence, vos informations sont traitées conformément au droit de la République Démocratique du Congo ou à la loi tanzanienne sur la protection des données personnelles (Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act, 2022). Si vous accédez au Service depuis un autre pays, vos informations seront néanmoins transférées vers cette région et y seront traitées.

11. Modifications de la Présente Politique

Nous pouvons mettre à jour la présente Politique de Confidentialité de temps à autre. En cas de modification substantielle, nous mettrons à jour la date de « dernière mise à jour » ci-dessus et, le cas échéant, vous en informerons via l'application.

2. Taarifa Tunazokusanya

Tunakusanya aina zifuatazo za taarifa:

• Data ya eneo na mwendo: kuratibu za GPS, mwelekeo, na kasi wakati programu inatumika, zinazotumika kutambua hali za trafiki na kukuunganisha na barabara unayotumia.

• Taarifa za malipo: ukinunua huduma ya ziada ya malipo, tunachakata taarifa zinazohitajika kwa muamala huo, kupitia mtoa huduma wetu wa malipo.
• Kumbukumbu za kiufundi na uchunguzi (logs): kwa default, programu inatuma kumbukumbu za kiufundi za matumizi kwa KATRO TECHNOLOGIES kwa madhumuni ya msaada na uboreshaji wa bidhaa. Unaweza kuzima hili katika Mipangilio > Kumbukumbu (Logs).

3. Jinsi Tunavyotumia Taarifa

Tunatumia taarifa hizo hapo juu kwa: kukuonyesha hali za trafiki za wakati halisi zinazotokana na jamii; kutoa uongozaji njia; kuthibitisha na kuonyesha matatizo yaliyoripotiwa na jamii; kutuma arifa za usalama kwa maeneo hatarishi karibu na njia yako; kutuma arifa za ucheleweshaji wa safari kama umeweka Nyumbani na Kazini; kuchakata malipo kwa huduma yoyote ya ziada unayonunua; kutoa msaada wa kiufundi na kuboresha Huduma (ikiwemo kupitia kumbukumbu za uchunguzi, isipokuwa umezizima); kutengeneza takwimu za pamoja kuboresha Huduma; na kudumisha usalama na uaminifu wa Huduma (kwa mfano, kubaini matumizi mabaya ya mifumo yetu).

4. Jinsi Data ya Eneo Inavyoshirikiwa na Jamii

Kipengele kikuu cha KETSHE ni taarifa za trafiki zinazotokana na jamii. Eneo lako binafsi linaunganishwa na data ya madereva wengine kukokotoa kasi na hali za barabara — watumiaji wengine hawaoni kamwe eneo lako binafsi, njia yako, au utambulisho wako. Matatizo yaliyoripotiwa na jamii (mfano "ajali imeripotiwa karibu nawe") yanaonyeshwa kwa watumiaji walio karibu bila kufichua ni nani aliyetuma taarifa hiyo.

7. Haki na Chaguo Zako

Unaweza, wakati wowote:

8. Faragha ya Watoto

KETSHE haikulengwa kwa watoto walio chini ya miaka 16, na hatukusanyi kwa makusudi taarifa binafsi kutoka kwa watoto walio chini ya umri huo. Kama unaamini kuwa mtoto ametupatia taarifa binafsi, tafadhali wasiliana nasi ili tuweze kuziondoa.

9. Usalama

Tunatumia hatua zinazolingana na viwango vya sekta kulinda taarifa zako, ikiwemo miunganisho iliyosimbwa (TLS) kati ya programu na seva zetu, na hashi ya kificho ya njia moja (kamwe hifadhi ya maandishi wazi) ya PIN yako. Hakuna mfumo ulio salama kabisa, na tunakuhimiza kuhifadhi usiri wa PIN yako.

10. Uhamishaji wa Data wa Kimataifa

Seva za KETSHE zinaendeshwa kwa matumizi katika Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo na Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania. Kutegemea na nchi yako ya makazi, taarifa zako zinachakatwa kwa mujibu wa sheria za Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo au Sheria ya Ulinzi wa Taarifa Binafsi ya Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania (Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act, 2022). Ukifikia Huduma kutoka nchi nyingine, taarifa zako bado zitahamishwa na kuchakatwa katika eneo hili.

11. Mabadiliko ya Sera Hii

Tunaweza kusasisha Sera hii ya Faragha mara kwa mara. Tukifanya mabadiliko makubwa, tutasasisha tarehe ya "ilisasishwa mwisho" hapo juu na, inapofaa, kukujulisha kupitia programu.
