1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how KETSHE ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the KETSHE mobile app or website (the "Service"). KETSHE is a community-driven traffic and road-safety app for drivers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Tanzania.

You can use most of KETSHE — including live traffic conditions, navigation, and security alerts — without creating an account. Some information is still collected in that case, as explained below.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Location and movement data: GPS coordinates, heading, and speed while the app is in use, used to detect traffic conditions and match you to the road you are on.
• Device information: device identifier, operating system and version, and (if you choose) a vehicle type.
• Account information (only if you register): mobile number, a 6-digit PIN (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text), your first name, and preferred language.
• Community reports: the type, location, and time of any traffic or safety issue you report (e.g. accident, flood, police control, blocked road).
• Push notification token: if you enable notifications, so we can deliver security and commute alerts.
• Optional Home & Work locations and work schedule: only if you choose to set them, used solely to power commute-delay alerts.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to: show you live, community-sourced traffic conditions; provide turn-by-turn navigation; verify and surface community-reported road issues; send security alerts for danger zones near your route; send commute-delay alerts if you have set up Home & Work; and maintain the security and reliability of the Service (for example, detecting abuse of our systems).

4. How Location Data Is Shared With the Community

KETSHE's core feature is community-sourced traffic information. Your individual location is aggregated with other drivers' data to compute road speeds and conditions — other users never see your individual location, route, or identity. Community-reported issues (e.g. "accident reported near you") are shown to nearby users without revealing who submitted the report.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With infrastructure and hosting providers who process data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
• In aggregated or anonymized form, where it cannot reasonably be used to identify you (for example, published traffic statistics).
• If required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of KETSHE, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

Raw location reports are retained for a short period (currently 24 hours) purely to compute road conditions, then deleted. Aggregated, non-identifying traffic conditions are retained longer (currently up to 32 days) to keep the map useful. If you have a registered account, your account information is retained until you delete your account or request deletion. Community reports are retained for the period needed to keep other drivers informed (typically a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the type of report), after which they expire automatically.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can, at any time:

• Turn off location logging in the app's settings (this will limit features that depend on your location).
• Choose not to register an account, and use KETSHE's core features anonymously.
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about your registered account.
• Request correction of inaccurate account information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.

8. Children's Privacy

KETSHE is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections between the app and our servers, and one-way cryptographic hashing (never plain-text storage) of your PIN. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to keep your PIN confidential.

10. International Data Transfers

KETSHE's servers are operated in and for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Tanzania region. If you access the Service from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in that region.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.

Cette politique de confidentialité explique comment KETSHE (« nous ») collecte, utilise et protège les informations lorsque vous utilisez l'application mobile ou le site web KETSHE (le « Service »). KETSHE est une application communautaire d'information routière et de sécurité routière destinée aux conducteurs en République démocratique du Congo et en Tanzanie.

Vous pouvez utiliser la plupart des fonctionnalités de KETSHE — trafic en temps réel, navigation et alertes de sécurité — sans créer de compte. Certaines informations sont tout de même collectées dans ce cas, comme expliqué ci-dessous.

2. Informations que nous collectons

Nous collectons les catégories d'informations suivantes :

• Données de localisation et de déplacement : coordonnées GPS, direction et vitesse pendant l'utilisation de l'application, utilisées pour détecter les conditions de circulation et vous situer sur la route.
• Informations sur l'appareil : identifiant de l'appareil, système d'exploitation et version, et (si vous le souhaitez) un type de véhicule.
• Informations de compte (uniquement si vous vous inscrivez) : numéro de mobile, code PIN à 6 chiffres (stocké sous forme de hachage cryptographique à sens unique, jamais en texte clair), votre prénom et votre langue préférée.
• Signalements communautaires : le type, le lieu et l'heure de tout incident de circulation ou de sécurité que vous signalez (accident, inondation, contrôle policier, route bloquée, etc.).
• Jeton de notification push : si vous activez les notifications, afin que nous puissions vous envoyer des alertes de sécurité et de trajet domicile-travail.
• Lieux « Domicile » et « Travail » et horaires de travail (facultatifs) : uniquement si vous choisissez de les définir, utilisés exclusivement pour les alertes de retard de trajet.

3. Comment nous utilisons les informations

Nous utilisons ces informations pour : afficher les conditions de circulation en temps réel issues de la communauté ; fournir une navigation guidée ; vérifier et diffuser les incidents routiers signalés par la communauté ; envoyer des alertes de sécurité pour les zones à risque proches de votre itinéraire ; envoyer des alertes de retard si vous avez configuré Domicile et Travail ; et assurer la sécurité et la fiabilité du Service (par exemple, détecter les usages abusifs de nos systèmes).

4. Comment les données de localisation sont partagées avec la communauté

La fonctionnalité principale de KETSHE repose sur les informations de circulation fournies par la communauté. Votre position individuelle est agrégée avec celle d'autres conducteurs pour calculer les vitesses et conditions de circulation — les autres utilisateurs ne voient jamais votre position individuelle, votre itinéraire ou votre identité. Les incidents signalés par la communauté (par exemple « accident signalé près de vous ») sont affichés aux utilisateurs proches sans révéler qui a effectué le signalement.

5. Partage et divulgation des données

Nous ne vendons pas vos informations personnelles. Nous ne les partageons que dans les cas limités suivants :

• Avec des prestataires d'infrastructure et d'hébergement qui traitent les données en notre nom, sous obligation de confidentialité.
• Sous forme agrégée ou anonymisée, lorsqu'elles ne peuvent raisonnablement pas servir à vous identifier (par exemple, des statistiques de circulation publiées).
• Si la loi, un règlement ou une procédure judiciaire valide l'exige, ou pour protéger les droits, la sécurité ou les biens de KETSHE, de nos utilisateurs ou du public.

6. Conservation des données

Les signalements de localisation bruts sont conservés pendant une courte période (actuellement 24 heures), uniquement pour calculer les conditions de circulation, puis supprimés. Les conditions de circulation agrégées et non identifiantes sont conservées plus longtemps (actuellement jusqu'à 32 jours) afin que la carte reste utile. Si vous avez un compte enregistré, vos informations de compte sont conservées jusqu'à ce que vous supprimiez votre compte ou en demandiez la suppression. Les signalements communautaires sont conservés le temps nécessaire pour informer les autres conducteurs (généralement de quelques minutes à quelques heures selon le type de signalement), puis expirent automatiquement.

7. Vos droits et choix

Vous pouvez, à tout moment :

• Désactiver l'enregistrement de la localisation dans les paramètres de l'application (cela limitera les fonctionnalités qui dépendent de votre position).
• Choisir de ne pas créer de compte et utiliser les fonctionnalités principales de KETSHE de manière anonyme.
• Demander une copie des données personnelles que nous détenons concernant votre compte enregistré.
• Demander la correction d'informations de compte inexactes.
• Demander la suppression de votre compte et des données personnelles associées.

8. Confidentialité des enfants

KETSHE ne s'adresse pas aux enfants de moins de 16 ans, et nous ne collectons pas sciemment d'informations personnelles auprès d'enfants de cet âge. Si vous pensez qu'un enfant nous a fourni des informations personnelles, veuillez nous contacter afin que nous puissions les supprimer.

9. Sécurité

Nous utilisons des mesures conformes aux standards du secteur pour protéger vos informations, notamment des connexions chiffrées entre l'application et nos serveurs, et un hachage cryptographique à sens unique (jamais de stockage en texte clair) de votre code PIN. Aucun système n'est totalement sécurisé, et nous vous encourageons à garder votre code PIN confidentiel.

10. Transferts internationaux de données

Les serveurs de KETSHE sont exploités dans et pour la région de la République démocratique du Congo et de la Tanzanie. Si vous accédez au Service depuis un autre pays, vos informations seront transférées vers cette région et y seront traitées.

11. Modifications de cette politique

Nous pouvons mettre à jour cette politique de confidentialité de temps à autre. En cas de modification importante, nous mettrons à jour la date « dernière mise à jour » ci-dessus et, le cas échéant, vous en informerons via l'application.

• Alama ya arifa (push notification token): ukiwezesha arifa, ili tuweze kukutumia tahadhari za usalama na za safari ya kwenda/kutoka kazini.
• Mahali pa "Nyumbani" na "Kazini" na ratiba ya kazi (si lazima): endapo tu utachagua kuweka, yanayotumika pekee kuwezesha tahadhari za ucheleweshaji wa safari.

3. Jinsi Tunavyotumia Taarifa

Tunatumia taarifa zilizo hapo juu kufanya yafuatayo: kuonyesha hali za trafiki za papo hapo zinazotokana na jamii; kutoa uongozaji wa njia hatua kwa hatua; kuthibitisha na kuonyesha matatizo ya barabarani yaliyoripotiwa na jamii; kutuma tahadhari za usalama kwa maeneo hatari karibu na njia yako; kutuma tahadhari za ucheleweshaji wa safari endapo umeweka Nyumbani na Kazini; na kudumisha usalama na uaminifu wa Huduma (kwa mfano, kubaini matumizi mabaya ya mifumo yetu).

8. Faragha ya Watoto

KETSHE haikusudiwi kwa watoto walio chini ya miaka 16, na hatukusanyi kwa makusudi taarifa binafsi kutoka kwa watoto wa umri huo. Ukiamini kuwa mtoto ametupatia taarifa binafsi, tafadhali wasiliana nasi ili tuweze kuziondoa.

9. Usalama

Tunatumia hatua zinazolingana na viwango vya sekta kulinda taarifa zako, ikiwemo miunganisho iliyosimbwa kati ya programu na seva zetu, na "hash" ya kificho ya mwelekeo mmoja (kamwe si kuhifadhi kwa maandishi wazi) ya PIN yako. Hakuna mfumo ulio salama kabisa, na tunakuhimiza kutunza PIN yako kwa siri.

10. Uhamishaji wa Data wa Kimataifa

Seva za KETSHE zinaendeshwa katika na kwa ajili ya eneo la Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo na Tanzania. Ukitumia Huduma kutoka nchi nyingine, taarifa zako zitahamishiwa na kuchakatwa katika eneo hilo.

11. Mabadiliko ya Sera Hii

Tunaweza kusasisha Sera hii ya Faragha mara kwa mara. Tukifanya mabadiliko makubwa, tutasasisha tarehe ya "sasisho la mwisho" hapo juu na, inapofaa, kukujulisha kupitia programu.
